Role Overview
As a Freelance Video Editor at Wanderlust Videos, you will be responsible for editing cinematic-style wedding films, including color correction and sound adjustments, based on client specifications and company guidelines. You’ll collaborate with our internal team to maintain high quality standards, meet project deadlines, and deliver a seamless post-production experience for our filmmaker clients.
This is a freelance, remote (work from home) position with flexible, project-based assignments.
Projects and Payments
When we receive a client project, our Project Managers offer it to the editor who best matches the project's style and technical requirements. Editors have the flexibility to review the project details and decide whether to accept the assignment.

Editors have the flexibility to review available projects and decide which assignments they would like to accept, based on their availability and interest.

Payments are processed automatically in U.S. Dollars (USD) through Payoneer.

Payments issued on a per-project basis on a set schedule providing consistent and reliable payouts for completed projects.

Project payouts are automatically calculated based on the editor’s experience level and the specific requirements of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Editing & Workflow:

Edit cinematic-style videos based on client requirements and company standards.

Download, organize, and review all provided footage.

Understand project settings and carefully study client reference videos.

Deliver the first version of each project to Quality Assurance (QA) and clients within the agreed upon timeline.

Complete all requested revisions from QA or clients within the required timeframe.

Upload backup files and deliver final project files according to deadlines.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration:

Ensure high-quality standards are maintained across all edited projects.

Participate in team calls with Wanderlust Videos staff as needed.

Actively apply feedback, suggestions, and training from the Wanderlust Videos team to improve skills and workflow.

Collaborate closely with Project Management (PM) and QA teams to optimize project execution and turnaround times.
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of professional video editing experience, preferably with wedding films.

Advanced proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

Strong communication skills, with good English comprehension (written and spoken).

Ability to receive and apply feedback effectively.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
